Hopefully you are familiar with terminology of using a WordPress website.

But here are basics we talk about in this course.

  1. WordPress Content Management System and Blogging – a software that is installed on you website hosting account that creates a user/password administrator access to add pages, blog posts, audio or video to your URL or domain online location.
  2. Themes – the way your WordPress website looks is an installed theme, many are free, and others are premium for a fee. But you can customize with your logos, background colors, header graphics and more.
  3. Plugins – a little pieces of software, many free that enable your website to have other functions of power that are not included when you first setup your website. There are over 40,000 free WP plugins and many paid premium plugins that increase the functionality of your website. We use the PowerPress plugin to make Podcasting work for us.
